The Board has two primary sources of Income:
- the direct rating of all agricultural land and buildings from drainage ratepayers and
- special levy payments from Local Authorities, which reflect the extent of other property in the Drainage District.
The Rate is set each year on the basis of the predicted net budgetary requirement to carry out its operations for the following 12 months.
